When I think of foundation, I tend to think of how to make it rock solid. What’s the point to building one and it’s not airtight??? Don’t be in a rush to build a foundation but know exactly what your vision is and how you see it in say 10 years from now. It can be daunting thinking about something that will mean something not just now but in the future too. But see it as ever evolving legacy.

Once the foundation is set and ‘water tight’ everything else is easy after that. This is how I explain to a potential client; make sure your brand is authentic to you and that the message conveys easily to your audience. When the foundation is set up in the right way it will then be easy to set out your Personal & Business brand.

How do you build a foundation?

Authenticity & Credibility & Likability = TRUST.

Let’s start with authenticity. Just be true to you and your brand. Be clear with your message. Don’t worry about followers or how you come across in the beginning. It’s all a learning curve. Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

Credibility is very important to me. If I’m testing a new product, I want to hear from other people who has tested this product and can basically vouch for it. That’s why customer reviews are important because it can help a potential customer to actually choose your product as suppose to your competition.

When you meet your customers expectations they become loyal to you/brand therefore you become likeable. It’s all about creating a service that provides all these in the package. Maybe it’s a lot to ask for but if you want your brand to last you have to build the foundation consistently even if its little by little….it will grow one day to trust!
